Thanks! @eric_james yeah I think I'll go with a clear vinyl strip, and hopefully the clutch on the derailleur will help keep the chain tight enough to stop most of the knocks

All done! Well, as much as these things ever are! The paint comes out quite bright in the daylight and the decals on the fork match the frame perfectly. Really looking forward to taking it out on and see how it handles on the trails. There's a couple of things I may change once I've ridden...

Some great progress on the Kula recently with some parts arriving - I really love it and have been able to sit on it now the wheels are on and it is ace. Perfect fit and feels like I'll be able to chuck it around, and the Hope hub sounds really nice. I was able get the original forks back on...

This evening's plan was to put those lovely forks on the frame, but it seems I miscalculated the height of the components and with the headset fitted, and a rather short stack height on the stem, it was around 15mm too short on the steerer of 180mm. Luckily I had a similar fork, a little less...

And I did lacquer over the original decals as I figure it only adds a bit of protection to what I want to keep as original!
