    Inappropriate brand/model names

Two of my favourites are Cansucc and Risk. Parts seem to be ok though by all accounts. It isn't a bad choice of word, and is not spelt the same, but i am not sure how well Kona sell in Portugal.

    Orange O2 drop bar

I have gone back to my trusty Tacx pulley wheels(spec updated). My thinking with the Garbaruk wheels was they would not clog up with muck and be easier to keep clean, due to the open lattice structure, and they do look a bit snazzy instead of plain old black plastic. I spend more time riding...

    Today's Ride

Went for a decent 50mile ride on the Orange today and picked a few hard hills to do. For anyone who lives in, or adjacent to, Dorset; the first one was the long drag from Fontmell Magna up to Ashmore. The first part up through Springhead is hard work, if you don't know it, and want to try it...

    Orange O2 drop bar

I decided to go old school and have some blue Celo Cinta Professionale tape coming my way. Hopefully it will match the blue Frogleggs, better than the pre-faded cotton stuff, because that is the most important thing ;)

So; i learnt something but maybe this is common knowledge. Sram have different pulley wheel screws for thier clutched X0 and X9 derailleurs and they are slightly dimensionally different. If you swap out pulley wheels for non-Sram you may run into the following problems.... 1. The screw may...

    Orange O2 drop bar

If i couldn't ride i would go mental! I am 6'(184cm) tall with 34"(86ish cm) inside leg so that is why there is alot of post showing, with the sloping top tube, and the short head tube. The effective top tube is 56cm and the stem is 11cm so pretty much a road bike setup.

Thank you and for the tip on the ESI bar tape. The Q is low, as that is what the BB and cranks gave me, but i use 20mm spacers to increase the stance width(pedal centers). I have to do this with my right pedal as my right leg is a bit goofy and is very heel in. The added bonus is that the knee...

Thank you and for the info on the Cinelli ribbon. There are alot of options with the EVA cork with Cinelli being the original. I do have some black wrap hanging about. I whipped it off the bars when they arrived and i didn't clock exactly what make it was.

Marin Mount Vision Tour of Dartmoor

Brilliant write up and great pics. I really like Dartmoor and have been in and around it a few times. I did a big 50ish mile circular walk one time , over two long days, and camped on one of the high tors, behind some boulders. They are damn handy things! Apart from a few soldiers in the...

    Rare Pace forks?

I had an old Pace fork a few years ago. An RC35 if i remember rightly. A small-ish crash and i managed to pull one of the dropouts partly out of the carbon leg so that might be a thing to watch out for with these if the adhesive gives out after a number of years. Of course it couldve been a one...

    Anti back-pain-stem recommendation please!

Not everybody is the same physically, or iscarrying the same injuries, but core strength and lots of stretching benefit everyone. Also warming up into a ride and not going like hell from the off is more important as we age especially if alot of hours are spent at a desk, driving a car, etc...
