I bought a very nice pair of pedals from Adrian who also karma'd a pair of toe clips and straps! Arrived quickly and excellently packed along with great comms. I've bought from him before and I certainly hope to buy from him again. Many thanks.
"I don't know Point brand but these are actually really nice pedals..........NOW £15"
I don't know the Point brand either but I think I ought to find out about them!
PM coming your way.
I don't know who manufactured it. It's possible that Trek made the part or as you say
a small parts manufacturer. Perhaps Trek and Shimano had a conversation and Shimano made it!
I think Trek came up with the idea because they wanted to run the cables along the top tube but shimano didn't make top pull mechs yet. I've got one on my Trek 7000 and I got lucky recently and obtained a spare
I bought a GT saddle and a pair of DMR V8s from Billy which he delivered himself.
Great comms and an extremely smooth transaction. I hope I have the pleasure of dealing with him again. Top Man
Boughta very tasty FD M900 from Mr Ship. It arrived nicely jiffy bagged and in better condition than shown in the pic. A very smooth transaction in every way.
I'd never tried to build wheels until joining this forum and realised that loads of members built their own. I started off with a visit to Sheldon here:
https://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html
He explains how to go about it in great detail and there's also a link to a great book by Roger...
Great job - finished the build really nicely - congratulations! Enjoy it.
I seem to remember reading somewhere on here that some years rockhoppers did take 73 mm bottom brackets. Possibly also stumpies. My hardrock is the same as the OPs and takes 68mm.
