A good cheap version of the stancion protector is to use a lamp shade reducer - it does exactly the same job as the marzocchi one and will cost you all of a quid!
Removing them without deforming the metal ring within the seal will be incredibly hard
Short update to the retro-mod Bandwagon. I decided a dropper post would be a useful addition. The problem, a 26.8mm seat tube means that the only available dropper is quite expensive. The solution, buy a Brand X dropper at 27.2 and have a friend turn it down to the correct diameter.
