Anyone tried out an 'alt bar' setup? I hate the name, but the idea of having a more on-the-hoods position for climbing seems like a good idea (obviously down to personal prefs)
Just curious if anyone on here had tried them out. I've seen lots of marketing bs recently but never seen any in the wild
Anyone on here had a toddler seat they'd recommend? I've spotted a few different ones that go over the top tube that don't look too awful but don't know where to start. Plus I'm pretty sure all the ones I've seen aren't going to play nicely with the exposed cabling along the frame
I'm considering drilling out the cable stops on my Gary Fisher. The build was never going to be a proper restoration, although I have tried to keep the components era appropriate (ish).
Has anyone had good / bad experiences with drilling out stops? any good reasons not to do it?
Anyone got some 3x7 shifters knocking about?
I'm looking to replace the 3x7 grip shifters currently on the bike - I'm keen to try out thumbshifters, but am open to anything! (not brifters - I've got an alright set of levers to stick on it)
Cheers 👍
I've been on the lookout for a project bike for a while & managed to pick up this thing on eBay:
I did a bit of research & It's an 18" Gary Fisher Wahoo in titanium (paint, not metal) 1996 model
- Acera X rear derailleur
- Gripshift shifters
- Altura cranks
- some rubbishy v-brakes

Looks like an absolute bargain - very jealous as I'm after a Saracen & the listings near me are slim pickings at the moment
If anyone on here has any knowledge of these bikes I'd be interested to hear it!
I'm on the lookout for a 90s hardtail and one of these popped up in the local listings. It looks a nice enough bike but there seems to be absolutely zero information about it anywhere online, unlike the Diamondback...
Hi guys, this is my 90's Ribble 531c Sport. Got it a little while ago and am very pleased with it :)
If anyone has some info on these bikes that would be great, I tried to contact Ribble but they were pretty unhelpful
Cheers
