Ok. A Miyata. Perhaps there is access via the head-tube for a specialist glue? The other bonds will be weakened if it was rode in this state for sometime. Personally, I would not ride this, and bother with it. Worth getting a quote from a specialist perhaps.

I get what you are saying. I had a Miyata bonded frame that unbounded at the chain stays. I honestly thought about it since it was a beater bike, if I had to do a bodge job, I would have pushed the lot together with force via ratchet straps and drilled the lugs / tubes and pop-riveted the fcuker...

That is proper advice I feel. When a headtube creeps a part, we owe it to the OP to take all the care necessary, because it is not like getting some contact glue and putting a sole back on a Nike trainer. I'm not scaremongering, but sometimes it's best just to say it was good while it lasted...

No. Triangles typically need a special jig, and usually all the tubes are pushed together in a co-ordinated fashion. When one bond fails, it potentially means all other tubes need to be debonded and cleaned for a proper re-assembly from scratch again. Some bonds can be internal or external to...

🤔 Any million people can buy something, do some selfies riding it in PWN or PNW or wherever but it's like striking a damp match here. Site is more about why, when, who, how, what you did to try and make it fulfil an individual need / want and sharing that. Not complicated.

Actually, this site has nothing to do about cycling and riding the blessed thing. That's what Strava is about, apparently. This site is about bicycles. What you do with them in the garage, on the road, off road, or in bed is up to you and we don't care much.

The old Sunns, with full chrome regardless of model are still an eyecatcher if they are in good condition. 🥰 🥰 There is a lot rotting way here, but those treating them with the care they deserved are still a lovely hot property to show off and ride.
