Zasker LE, XTR, Spin, USE, Middleburn £450 starting price

Yeah, forks are poorly finished, wheels are cracked. Very little of value there. It will be going back into storage unless they drop the price. I used RC30s on my Zaskar and found that they really suited the ride though, it’s a great combination.

    Hope Evo cranks. Fakery?

They’re probably real, but if I worked in Hope’s QA dept, I wouldn’t be happy with the chatter on the back face of the arms.

What do you think of Shimano ditching rim brakes in 105 and higher?

“Fake news clickbait in internet outrage shocker.” I’m off to buy a new bike I don’t need.

    Thanks for replying Paul 👍🏻

    Anti back-pain-stem recommendation please!

As above, I would try a seatpost with no setback and a shorter stem rather than a higher stem.

Mercian cycles call it a day .

Paul at Ellis Briggs is missing the point. There are plenty of modern young frame builders working with steel and fitting modern kit. If Mercian or others choose not to, they will die out. Go to Bespoked or look at the NAHBS pics and you’ll see lots of examples of stunning, steel handmade...

Mtb are meant to be riden

While it's great to have a high reaction score, it's important to remember that biking is about personal enjoyment, fitness, and the challenge of the ride itself. Here are a few thoughts on balancing online engagement and real-world biking: 1. **Personal Goals**: Focus on your own biking goals...

Mtb are meant to be riden

It sounds like you're describing a challenging and rugged terrain typical of the Pacific Northwest (PNW), and you seem concerned about a website that gives off a vibe of a social credit scoring system. If you're referring to a particular site that tracks and ranks users based on their...

my logic with cable disc brakes and why they don't work well on drop bar levers, am i right?

Changed the pads on my BB7s this weekend after 4138 miles of riding. Took less than 5 minutes. Whilst changing the pads and dialling in the adjusters I was thinking to myself how great the brakes are and how well they have performed. Should change the cables before 5k miles but only because I...

What's the used vintage bike market like where you live?

What a lot of people failed to realise during the bubble is that the vast majority of this stuff is just not rare. Shimano produced thousands of groupsets at every level. There are plenty of M900 rear mechs on the front page of eBay now… you have to question why anyone would pay more than £30...

Nice one Chris. Change is hard and frightening but often the catalyst for positive growth. Well done.

Yorkshire man rushed to hospital after mountain bike trail assault

Not at all. Merely pointing out that the article has one side of the story and it is usually wise to gather all the information before making judgement. Still, you do you, as the kids say.
