    Yellow TDF Jersey mystery signature??

Yellow riders in 2011 were Gilbert, Hushovd, Voeckler, Andy Schlek and Evans. Not familiar with their signatures, but does not look particularly like any of them.

The end is no longer nigh: Kona Bikes

My understanding is the distributors can continue to order direct from the factories(as they always have), but only until the albeit cosiderable existing stocks are used up.

Cheapest way to post frame from NZ from UK?

Long shot, but if you can find a local company, or better still know someone who works in one, that exports or imports see if they will allow you to pay to use their preferred shipper. Price differential between company rates and private individuals are usually considerable.

What Retrobike "feature" do you avoid when looking for bikes?

Any form of suspension, I fitted too many front suspension front forks to rigid bikes in the early nineties.

What mountain bikes did you own BITD?

Bikes I've never owned....but thought I might like to!

I 'm sure you are right 4th, but I do wonder what they will be like after 30 or 40 years. Though I will be long gone by then.

Posting Wheels in boxes - again.

The big problem is the differene between what an individual pays and a company negotiated rate. I retired at the end of November, my company allowed all employees to ship personal parcels at their negotiated contract price. I shipped a bike with two extra wheels middle of November next day...

    Oldest mountain bike in UK?

Just read the entire thread, nothing to add I'm afraid. My first involvement was not until late 87. One of the most interesting things I have read in a longwhile. So much knowledge and amazing memories.
