    Too funny! The girl on the right was an old girlfriend of mine back in the early/ mid 80's. A REALLY GOOD RIDER! We pioneered a bunch of trails in Northern Baja, Mexico together.

    I just read that Don Cook of the famous "Crusty Butt" (Crested Butte) Cook Bros. has died. I do have to hand it to him though, he died while doing what he loved... Trail riding!

    It takes some "elbow grease"! On anodized parts the laser etching is burning off the anodizing leaving bare aluminum logo. All the "high end" cranksets were made of 7075-T6 which has zinc in it for strength, but makes the material more likely to corrode. Laser etching Titanium just roughs...

    FYI: Use a pencil eraser to clean up the laser etching on your bars and cranks! With a little "elbow grease" you will get the etching looking brand new.
