Have you tried an M18 bolt too? I'm not going mad am I?

Bought an 07 Evolve XC crankset off marketplace and it didn't come with the crank bolt. No problem I thought, I'll find out the size and order one.. Tried an M17 - too small. M18 was too big (or different thread pitch?) Does anyone have one of these knocking around or know where I can get one...

These chrome wheels came on a project bike. Lots of surface rust, but no chrome missing from what I can tell. Rear hub doesn't spin, front one is quite rough. Front hub is marked 'Sachs Maillard' and the rims are marked 'Van Schothorst' Need to get rid of them, am I sitting on a gold mine or...
