They're definitey very different, but I was just interested to know how a modern geo rigid bike compares to a capable hardtail on technical terrain. The Mk6 is really interesting as most rigid MTBs are aimed more at bikepacking whereas these seem to be competing with hardtails.

Am interested to hear how you find this compares to the Moxie as I currently have a 27.5 Sirius S5 and have been looking at the Stooge Mk6.

Thanks for the reply. The cassette is a Miche one designed to replace a Campag one. Just to be sure I have put the old 7 speed Campag cassette back on to try and have the same problem with overshooting. I understand that 7 and 8 speed campag cassettes have the same 5mm spacing so this setup...
