gears Jimbog, am running a dynatech Mission daily myself, not sure of the size of yours but my small (16"?) Mission runs a 44-17 without a tensioner perfectly. This gearing allows me to climb any of the hils around where I live and cycle. Too low a gearing will drive you mad in no time, too...

Tyres Yep, first and best thing I do is replace old tyres with modern. As anyone who has ridden on Tioga Psycho's will attest.
