Something completely different. 1970's Speedwell GTS. I found the frame on gumtree is a sad state and had a little fun with the build. It reminds me of the pile of bikes in the corner of the huge shed on my grandads farm when I was a kid. A mix of 20" and 27" old dragsters and 50's roadsters...

as the title states.. helpful answer from the seller was "it's a 26 inch" :facepalm:

Have had this frame for a few months now quietly hanging in a corner giving me the eye. There's a bit for me to struggle with here. 1- my distaste for black frames/components on bikes.. it should be glossy colourful paint and silver components or ano at a stretch.. always thought black...

Have a a couple of forks here with short steerers, an f3 and an older steel set. Is it worth/possible getting an engineer to fabricate/remove and press in new steerers or am I best just throwing them back into the ether and waiting for another set with a longer steerer to come along?
