    Ridley Crossbow/X-Bow x2

Managed to get up onto the Ridgeway - really didn't know what to expect. It was amazing... also right on my doorstep pretty much so I will definitely be back. The Ridley performed impeccibly over the 30 miles :)

    Ridley Crossbow/X-Bow x2

So I finished the build early last week and been commuting on it since. Two sets of wheels now - one with Veloflex tyres and TPU tubes for road and one with shwalbe G-ones for off road. Hoping to get out on the ridgeway at the weekend 😁

    Ridley Crossbow/X-Bow x2

May as well keep the thread title the same as I got another yesterday 🤣 I think the yellow/black one may be mothballed for a while as I'm nicking the components for this one. It's a 2008 Crosssbow, this time with sensible things like bottle mounts, British threaded BB, front mech cable pulley...

Not very good pics but there's not much to see really. new threadless headset is on order and tyres/tubes mounted last night - hopefully should be roadworhy over the weekend!

    Specialized Crux 2015

Took out for a quick spin locally to make sure everything is working and it sure is! Front mech could do with a little adjusting (apparently 6800 front mechs are a bit challenging!) but other than that it's good to go. Oh, I swapped cranks to an ultegra pair to match the rest of the group 😁

    Ridley Crossbow/X-Bow x2

Well as it happened I discovered an old frameset of mine at my folks and it had a dropout saver neatly wedged in the rear hanger thread so that was promptly removed! Drilled out the hanger this evening and fitted the saver, the mech fitted perfectly - will get pics in due course. Looking...

    Wanted 1" threadless headset

They're BC-1's but I think a previous owner has mixed cups and associated bearings from a threaded headset with a rogue top cap which doesn't fit, hence looking for a new one

    Ridley Crossbow/X-Bow x2

Saw this on ebay last week and took a punt. The rear mech hanger is threaded so either need to try and tap the thread or fit a 'dropout saver' which is on order. The donor bike, well shifters and mechs is a Boardman with Sram 10 speed and some light-ish ritchey wheels which I got for a song as...

    Wanted 1" threadless headset

Looking for a 1" threadless headset please. Looks like the one I have has obsolete shimano bearings in so best to replace the headset I think. Thanks

    Specialized Crux 2015

@Mike Muz looks like a great job you did there. My old Canti crux (alloy) was so good. Hopefully this new one is as good! Got it back on Friday, brakes all set up. Just need to re-wrap the bars and i'll take it for a spin :) oh, bought a Ridley Crossbow too...

    Wanted Deore 9s rear mech

Looking to pop together a fairly affordable 1x10 setup using road bars and 10 speed shifters. Research has led me to undeestand 9s Deore is compatible with 10s road. Looking for a suitable rear mech. Black preferred. Thanks!

Anyone running TPU inner tubes yet?

    Specialized Crux 2015

Bit of a material update now, with a picture... Crankset on now along with the rest of the drive train. New brake lines fitted to the calipers and just dropped off at my LBS to set up the brakes along with new pads. Then I think it's just a matter of setting up the position of the shifters...
