    Bargain for someone

These would already be mine if I lived anywhere near Wilmslow.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275715188982?hash=item4031e7e8f6:g:AtkAAOSw3m5j~K6l That Roy Swinnerton track frame must be worth around £200 on its own!

    1966 Dawes Kingpin Sprint

It's interesting to note that the rear brake and gear cable routing on yours has been changed. It looks as if the gear cable originally came straight out of the gear lever without any outer cable. Whoever changed it must have just used a bit of black outer rather than find some matching white...

Identify my (1950s?) Claud Butler track frame!

Wanted Carlton Seat Poster Binder Bolt

Hi, Anyone got a Carlton Seat Poster Binder Bolt they would like to sell, the one with the Red "C"? Thanks, Steve.

    Steerer tube extension

Wouldn’t the new piece of tube need to be a larger diameter than the original steerer tube? In which case a headset will not fit it. Or am I missing something?

Un known 1940s/50s Holdsworth or Claud?

My guess would be a 1958 Flying Scot.

    Gravel Bike Genesis

Ours were all either single speed or occasionally 3-Speed SA Hub. Again, 5 and 10 speeds were beyond our means! You've made me want one now! I still have the frame from my last one in my garage, built around 84. It had Renthal Motocross handlebars, the ones with a bolt-on brace, so it could be...

    Gravel Bike Genesis

Love the bike! Here’s a pic of my Dad and Nan with his Tracker back in 1958... We built loads round our way back in the 70s, only with 26” wheels though. 27s were exotic racer wheels for us!

    Wanted Cinelli Mod.67 Pista Handlebars

A long shot I know, but anybody got a set of Cinelli Mod.67 Pista Handlebars they want to get rid of? Must be the Mod 67 390mm width Pistas, not the various Criterium versions and preferably the pre 1980 Cinelli crest version, although I would consider the post 1980 winged logo ones.

    Mercian Pro Lugless 653

I remembered this from a few years back.... https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/1986-mercian-lo-pro.315582/ Surely not a standard Mercian paint scheme, so wonder if they were ordered by the same person or one inspired the other?

Sprint looks gorgeous by the way!

Raleigh Record Sprint - Teenage kicks

"One of those tricyles with a metal bread bin on the back." I had one of those. Even at an early age I learnt that if you leaned over far enough, and kept correcting with the steering, you could ride around on just the front and one of the back wheels!

Very pink 1985 Orbit Gold Medal

I must say that a lot of this bike's features bare a close resemblance to the Eclipse in this thread.... https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/eclipse-owners-club.410287/ Even the Frame Number is the same format.

RBotM August 2022 - Theme Month - Frames! No builds Just Frames!

Not sure if it's too late to enter, but here goes..... I bought this frame on EBay back in February as it was cheap (£20) BIN and beneath the Emulsion paintjob it looked interesting with it's fastback stays. Although badged as a Harry Quinn it turned out the Quinn headbadge was actually a...

New member (and help identifying Rory O'Brien bike)

Hi, and welcome! I'm no expert, but that frame looks to be built for Time Trialling as it has tight wheel clearances, relatively straight forks, etc. I'd take a guess at mid 80s frame with newer kit , but as I say I'm no expert and there are plenty more knowledgeable members on here who will...

If the Seat Post is an alloy one you could try the method I used to remove a very stubborn stem on my 66 Mercian.... https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/1966-mercian-superlight-rebuild.362285/page-2 I was amazed at how easily this freed up what had previously been a totally unmoveable stem.

    Dawes Kingpin

Excellent! I always wondered if it had a strange pair of drop handlebars similar to the Raleigh Chopper Sprint.
