very excited to see that build progress. thanks for sharing! read a very interesting interview with "mr. funk" a year ago. don't have the link at hand but it would be a good fit for this thrad as he explains his decision making for this frame.

i own exactly the same wheelset and it is superb! the hubs are very easy to service and the ratchet system is an outstanding design. i own a second wheelset with 240s hubs which i use on my all mountain/enduro. 1 week lake garda abuse, no problemo. same hubs are stock (!) on the trek session...

what did you expect? even most brick and mortar shops don't have the 2012 bikes yet. btw. in the past canyon had a bad reputation of postponing delivery. afaik they fixed it.

you can drop nearly a 1kg off the AM with xc tires and a light seatpost.

if you have the intention to race the bike once in a while go for the "MR". if not go for the "AM". the "AM" is definitely a do-it-all bike. the "MR" will limit you on some trails.

btw. shinguards are a must when you start the flatpedal thing. and tease google for some hints regarding proper technique - takes the edge off the scare when you hit a rockgarde the first time...

next evolutionary step: changes: seatpost shim from 34.9 to 31.6 bolted to the frame together with the seatclamp 31,6mm syntace p6 carbon seatpost which i can lower completly -> huge advantage on steep descents and drops 36tooth ratchet for the rear hub -> more engagement points -> nice...
