    50s Look Water Bottle for a £1

That's not going to happen, or did they find another way to fund it? "Funding Unsuccessful - This project's funding goal was not reached on on August 18, 2013."

    50s Look Water Bottle for a £1

Read the Daily Wail tomorrow and it'll probably cure cancer too! Most modern bottles are lined with plastic, though. In the case of SIGG and Earthlife ones, I think it's pretty good BPA-free plastic. Still best not to scratch the inner if you can avoid it and I prefer not to put anything...

    50s Look Water Bottle for a £1

Have the shops really gone to pot to the point where we have to buy corks online? :?

Why don't my 24 inch tyres fit my 24 inch wheels,

The reason inch decimal sizes and inch fractional sizes differ is that fractional is English and decimal is usually USA and they measure them in different ways. Always stick to the ISO markings now: two numbers with a dash between. One is width and the other is bead seat diameter. I think the...

I know it's a crazy idea, let's go for a ride some time soon

Well that was good to ride with Echo Bay and 845 others! Maybe see more of you next year and we can fly a RB flag or something?

I know it's a crazy idea, let's go for a ride some time soon

I should be there, trains permitting. I'm http://Twitter.com/mjray and the bike is https://social.mayfirst.org/mjray/ and I'll probably stand near the guildhall on whichever edge has shade! Be great to say hi to any other retro bikers. I think there was a beer tent last year. There's definitely...

    Spring Classics chit chat

Annoying that Shimano were so determined to win that they engaged in dirty tricks.

The Downside of the Cycling Revival

It shouldn't be, but most current British paths are substandard so it is.

The Downside of the Cycling Revival

Hell yeah. We're mostly right handed and rarely feel the need to draw our swords to attack oncoming traffic any more. When no cars are about, we sometimes ride six abreast, full width of the road ;-)

The Downside of the Cycling Revival

Little trick for you: extend the fingers on your left hand to the left, with your palm forwards, on the hoods or tops or ends of your bars. Like a stop hand rotated ninety left. Move left long before you must and most people pass on your left. I'm not sure why the hand helps but it seems to...

    L'eroica 2015 - prices doubled!

https://bikmoplus.com/ shows their retail policies "provided by Butterworth Spengler Facilities Ltd and underwritten by Hiscox Underwriting Ltd". I'm sure I've seen Butterworth Spengler on CTC things before.

    L'eroica 2015 - prices doubled!

Re: Retrorides, insurance and requirements for modern equipment I'm happy to split this first part out into its own thread if you feel I should: Ah, the deadly left hand of British Cycling maiming cycling, while its right hand Chris Boardman says that helmets are "not in the top ten things...
