    For Sale Proflex 856 frame

Hi Neil, This is still available. I'm unsure of the working condition of the shock as I bought it primarily just for the fork and groupset with no intention of riding. I'll pop a wheel into the frame and get back to you.

Any tell tale signs this is a true team RTS?

The second two digits of the serial number should tell you which year.

BoTM Bike of The Month October 2023 - Time to vote

Wahey! I'm glad the man hours polishing the RTS paid off eventually. That was a very close one this month, every retro bike saved is a winner, right.

    For Sale Proflex 856 frame

Proflex 856. Measures 20” from BB to the top of the seattube. £60 + postage In good condition overall with no signs of cracks or any abuse. Comes with Noleen coil shock, a Sugino crank on the driveside and for some reason, a Shimano M563 crank arm on the non-driveside. I don’t have a BB tool...

1993 GT RTS Team (pic heavy)

Thank you! The rebound damping no longer works, but as it's an 'art installation' that doesn't bother me too much. I've been looking at M900 for another build I have in the works but the prices have just become ridiculous.

A mix of lenses but my static camera is a Sony a7r3. Lenses would have been Sony 24-70 f/2.8 & Sigma 50mm f/1.4. DJI Mavic Pro 2 for the overhead.

465mm, 20mm of which is taken up by the Onza's  I'm wanting some new bars but there's another retro project on the boil at the mo consuming all my thoughts.

That reminds me: I forgot to post the spec. They are insanely narrow, I’ll grab a tape measure later.

1993 GT RTS Team (pic heavy)

With the finishing touches pretty much sorted it was time to shoot it. Chrome bikes are a pig to shoot so I wanted to shoot it using a technique I use for my car photography, but lighting a bike with a drone takes a lot of time and effort and I hadn’t found the right time (nor effort yet). In...

There were a few pieces left to source for the bike, like Onza Chill Pills etc, so I left the bike at Brink as a conversation piece (and definitely not because I was scared of my wife’s reaction to the 15th bike I now own).

With most of the parts sourced it was time to hand it over to Will at Brink Cycleworks in Bedfordshire. Despite his youth, Will loves a retro bike and has a few retro Cannondales laying around his shed.

It starts as many of these other build stories start, I suppose: A 13yr old sat in the middle of the classroom completely uninterested in the lesson, staring at the cover of their English book, laminated with a studio photo of a gorgeous GT RTS dripping in XTR. Roll on 27 years and into the...

    The Raleigh files

I'm being a total plonker. I didn't see the download button (naturally took less than 2 secs once I'd downloaded it, ha!). Great resource, thank you.
