My son's Mondraker foxy carbon r (2015) seemed to have the wrong through axle fitted when I bought it. It appeared to be too long so maybe a boost axle on a non-boost frame, as it would not tighten up without bottoming out on leaving play. No problem, I had a build for myself I'd yet to get to...

20 to 30 is ok imo. 30 to 48 is bit of a jump. It may work, I've never tried. It may also look a bit weird but if it works for you and shifting isn't bad then it's fine. You won't know until you try but equally someone may be along who knows more then me, which would not be difficult ;)

It can matter in terms of ratio. You wouldn't want a 48t outer with a low tooth count middle as the jump would be nasty. In terms of fit, a 110 BCD ring will fit a 110bcd spider, 5 arm of course as there is now a 4 arm 110bcd and even differences in that masking them incompatible with each other.

I think almost everything about that bike would make a thief think twice, in face I think they'd think once, pinch the saddle and leave the rest.

I kind of knew that would be the answer due to the shorter stanchions and recessed lowers. I think it's revs and likes that used to be fairly interchangeable parts wise.

Thanks. All good points. Definitely replacing seals and foam rings. The newer fork was barely used so it's in vgc aside from the post mount crack. Condition of the bushings is going to be a check for sure. Ok the fork with the discolouration, it's really minor, I'm being picky so hope it's all...
