    'Naked' Bottom Bracket Sheath Sollutions?

Fascinating stuff. Definitely outside of the box, or the shell!

    'Naked' Bottom Bracket Sheath Sollutions?

I like your thinking. Havnt got any spare. Might be too thick tho. It's a fine tolerance between shell, cup and axle.

    'Naked' Bottom Bracket Sheath Sollutions?

I'm just about to fit a TA bottom bracket. They are not sealed units, as you all know, I'm sure. To prevent ingress from inside the frame, does anyone have a DIY fix for a sheath? There are Tioga ones on Ebay (not cheap).

What hi fi system you got ?

I asked this elsewhere but it got swamped by other stuff: How can I share my L and R forward speakers (Leak 250s) between my surround av amp and my completely separate turntable amp?

    Steve Goff Decals

Hope he doesn't mind me telling you this, but with his older frames, he would use Letraset to decal his name on the frames. Easily done and with a quick lacquer your done!

The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff chat and sales

I've just bought a pair of Leak 250's (the old ones not the 2k new ones!). I have a surround amp running my AV, but I want to ad an amp dedicated to the Leaks for my turntable. The Leaks will replace my left & right front channel speakers on the AV. Can anyone suggest a splitter box or some...

Steve helped me a lot last year, cutting a thread on my forks to go on my Ciöcc. I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction.

    Mavic Crossland 135mm fitting problem

That's a boss reply. The Microshift cassette deffo needs a spacer. I've recently rebuilt a Mavic 577 hub, and that has oodles of clearance between the cassette side axle nut and the dropouts. The non drive side of these wheels is radially spiked, which requires a long spacer between the axle...

    Mavic Crossland 135mm fitting problem

I have a pair of Mavic Crossland wheels. Rim brake. The rear is 135mm. I have fitted an 8 speed Microshift cassette with a Mavic locking nut. There was a little play, so I fitted a 1.6mm shim. Upon fitting the wheel to 2 separate 135mm rear frames, the cassette binds horribly upon tightening...

BB Width for TA Chainset...Solved..I Hope

OK, scored a NOS TA BB axle and cups from auction site. It's a 123.5mm which is specific for the Cyclotouriste tripple chainset. I have a spare 118 old Shimano just in case, but I'm pretty sure the TA axle will be the correct width. Thanks to all above who helped. I must say, the TA stuff is...

BB Width for TA Chainset...Solved..I Hope

I got this very useful info from a man who knows a thing or two about the TA's: The standards for BBs for these chainsets are usually cited as 111-114mm for doubles, 118mm for triples and 123mm for tandems. When I set mine up (usually triples) on classic 700c/27" road frames, I start with a...
