The thing is my garage is a warm garage, its part of my house and insulated. Obviously I go riding in all temperatures so if that's what they mean then I'm not impressed

I have thomson on all of my other 6 bikes, and had them quite a while. I always torque them correctly, it's just this stem and seatpost. After them replying about temperature etc, I feel they know its a problem. I'll continue using what I still have but will be wary and won't be buying their...

Thing is if I hadn't noticed this and say just gone down a curb, it could have resulted in disaster. I've got their seatclamps, seatposts and stems. Wonder how bad their handlebars are. I think they need to go back to the drawing board and re design, even if it means adding a bit of weight for...

I realise im not going to get anything back, I just feel people need to know their items aren't as great as people think they are. I've been working on bikes for 30+ years I've worked in a bike shop and also have a torque wrench. The fact they kind of acknowledge there's a problem then surely...

I'm trying to think how to word my reply. They won't refund me because its 3 years old. I'm just shocked how dangerous it is. Thing is the bike it was on..... carbon stumpjumper FS... only went on light canal rides due to a knee injury. Sub standard components. All looks no go

I bought all my posts and stems brand new, and I have a few. My Garage is part of my house and doesn't really get cold. I think £80 is more than enough for a stem, I'm concerned about my other stems and seatposts now

So I emailed Thomson and got this reply We generally advise that components be replaced every 3-5 yrs based on usage as all metal is subject to fatigue, especially those with clamping pressure applied. Thermal expansion through the seasons and while in storage also affects the material (non...

I've ran a few Thomson parts over the years, but recently I've had a cracked seatpost and a cracked stem. Anyone had this on here?
