Sorted Grip shift spacer washer thing!

Thanks for the offer, I might have a crack at making some if nobody has a spare going begging. Cheers for the tip about the milk bottle - if I can heat up an old handlebar I could probably melt out a circle and go from there.

Sorted Grip shift spacer washer thing!

Hi, can anyone help? I need 1x of the plastic grip shift washers that go between the twist grip and handlebar grip so they don’t rub. I’m going to try grip shift on my Kona and I’ve found one in my spares but I need another. Just on the off chance someone has one knocking about?? Thanks in advance.

    1996 Kona Kilauea

More small steps. Disassembled the rear cassette, cleaned and rebuilt it. Removed the Columbus decal which was tatty, a new ones on the way. Tried my M737 and M739 cranks, both are nice but think the 737’s look best.. Think I need to put tyres on and maybe a saddle so it looks a bit more...

Unknown 24 Seven Jump bike build

Hi, cheers. Sorry but it was that long ago I don’t have a clue what I ended up fitting. I’d think a regular bmx bottom bracket would fit the shell and then axle length would depend on what cranks you’re using. The axle can be spaced out so not too critical - if in doubt go longer. Probably not...

    1996 Kona Kilauea

A little bit of progress, I gave the frame a clean down and t cut before I start building it up. I was also having a browse through my spares wondering what sort of headset to use when I found this. A YST threaded in 1 1/8”, in good condition and needle bearing lower race. This came on a parts...

From a wrecked Peugeot to a refurbed Richards..

All finished, I was just waiting on bar tape and rear drop out screws - both now installed. Managed to sell the forks off the donor bike on eBay for £15 too so the parts bike was effectively free! Result. Just waiting on my friend to recover from a whiplash injury and then we’ll get out together...

    1996 Kona Kilauea

That looks well, good effort - especially for a parts bin type build, I like the saddle too. Interesting that yours has an ahead stem whereas mine is threaded. How does the rear brake work with that cable routing btw? I was debating putting v’s on mine but don’t like how those clamps that go...
