    The Elites are good wheels, quite durable, but if you are hard on braking or use the wheels in winter/bad weather you'll be through the brake track in two seasons. I've got a pair I use for my fast 'commuter' bike. It only does 80 miles a week though 😂

    What do you think of Shimano ditching rim brakes in 105 and higher?

    I've got about 7 pairs of good quality rim brakes, and 4 pairs of 'good ' wheels which I rotate on a regular basis. I've only changed the pads on my go to bike once in 3 years, so I reckon I'm sorted till I die! Tbh I can't see me ever buying a new bike again, it's steel or second hand carbon...

    Photoshoot of a Colnago CT1 I just finished this morning.

    I've got similar but went with Mavic Kysirium SSC wheels instead. Mines a slightly different colour but not much in it. Truth about a solid ride, it really zips up the road like a good steel frame, but 2kg lighter.
