Too few threads on my fork - solutions?

I doubt very much that GB factory drilled their stems for c/pull wires, more likely that Fred in the Shed did them! GB catalogues don't show the option of drilled stems.

The bars and stems are separate items. I think the Model 21 Sports actually ran alongside the "standard" Sports (flat bar model).

I'd better throw a Raleigh in here - just completed a rustoration of this 1949 Raleigh Sports, all original parts - taken to bits, cleaned, lubed and reassembled. I had to repaint the headlamp though as it's so "in your face"! Pictures taken before the rear brake cable was fitted whilst the sun...

What you bought, get or found, recently ( about everything ? )

Me and a friend have an agreement - if we see anything cheap and interesting (bicycle related) we buy it between us. Got it home and there were three £1 coins and a puncture repair kit in the saddlebag - win win! Cleaned it up and sold it on very quickly - win win win! A very nice bike but sadly I never took a...

    Ribble racers

Probably not much help to you - but I bought an old Ribble alloy frame from a car boot sale, added a few bits to "hybridify" it and sold if for £140. Rode like the wind. Can't keep them all!

    Show us your motorbike thread

That would be about right - this one was auctioned in 87 according to the MoD release papers, it's been stood in a shed ever since! Interestingly the auctions for all these were about a mile from where I now live and the same place I bought my first one from in 1987. Someone filled the engine...
