    Colnago or No Go?

The answer is no, it's not... https://cycling-obsession.com/how-to-identify-a-colnago-super/ Simple way is to count the top tube cable guides. not even a Colnago I don't think

Help with identification and history - Witcomb and Claud Butler

Nice :) There's a thread on here about CB frame numbers that should nail it for you if you post up the number. The Whitcomb with Haden lugs, over BB guides and the drilled chainset is probably 1977 (the last 2 digits of the number), the 531 sticker on it looks older though ?

    Early Mercian with track ends

Not quite sure what the seat tube decal is doing on the downtube. the 531 writing looks sloped and not horizontal which is maybe younger than the frame. Nice though...........

Ernie Clements 531 Falcon San Remo (finished!)

Nicklin or Williams spring to mind, can you see the logo? Typical 2 tooth difference in chainring size for 1972 :)

    Holdsworth 531 special

Nice :) Classic chamfered seat stays of the Special... Does Nick Kilgarrif website still work? there was a lot of Holdsworth info on there. the 7 in a diamond is the date of the cranks.

Help with Identifying Carlton Model and Year

I had a look at the download here https://www.retrobike.co.uk/archive/1976-raleigh-catalogue.351/ Nothing matches exactly, however, there was a trend quite a few years back to grind off all brazings and convert to a "fixie" with a rattle can job. Could be one of those...........

Help with Identifying Carlton Model and Year

1976 Carlton (3rd digit a 6 for 1976). Crespera lugs and wrapover seat stays in tru-Wel so used on a load of different models. Easiest to look in a 1976 catalogue for a bike with no chrome, no lamp boss and no brazed rear brake hanger (for centre pull) and that sort of colour.

    Carlton, Grubb and others

Carlton has shot in seat stays which were on their higher end models. Giro was one of them but not sure exactly what that is? It also has a Sugino Mighty chain set which is a nice reminder of the 70's

Harry Quinn in Somerton £100 inc spare set of wheels

It looks like its from the time when Harry Quinn sold his name to Falcon and they turned out some real tat in his name...... Harry later bought his name back and "proper" Harry Quinn frames reappeared.
