    Uh, incorrect, it was not welded on. Hydraulic press was used to press it out from the bottom. But we had to carefully find the right diameter sacrificial tube to fit inside the steerer tube orifice from between the fork legs.

    And then the nerve-wracking part.....sliding on the shifters and brake levers without scratching the Mission Control. Hate this part, but went on with minimal issues. VGC SL-M732 thumbies and NOS Tektro 3DV levers. Swapped out some of the bolts for Ti and 3DV, here and there. And NOS ODI...
