Now that's some eagle eye bike sleuthing right here 👏

    1989 Klein Top Gun

Stunning build! The speed that you get things done is impressive. This is motivating me to start building mine up and maybe a 'three Klein's' ride in the near future. Not sure if this interview with Gary Klein has been posted already but he does mention the Top Gun and Paramount trademark fiasco...

    Steerer tube extending without welding

The bike gods came to the rescue. During this thread discussion a local FB Marketplace listing popped up with a 1" Pep with 145mm of steer tube. Thanks for everyone's input. Looks like I'll get to keep my teeth

    Steerer tube extending without welding

Just going off an idea from the machinist I met with yesterday. He has used this technique on motorcycle forks in the past but never bicycle forks. Ideally I would get a donor fork, cut off its steerer have the shop machine a sleeve and weld (like how Paul Brodie did in one of his videos) but I...

    Steerer tube extending without welding

This would be ideal but it could be years before a long steerer Pepperoni fork becomes available

    Steerer tube extending without welding

I have a Cannondale Pepperoni fork with a 1" steerer tube that's 40mm too short (if anyone has one with around 150mm of steerer that you want to sell, I'm interested). I went to a local machine shop and the guy said that he could machine a solid steel spacer that would sleeve into the steerer...

Withdrawn Bontrager Composite rigid fork 1"

Looking for a Bontrager Composite 1" threaded fork specifically the generation that had the fatter profile dropouts like the fork pictured. Around 140mm of steerer would be ideal

BoTM Bike of The Month April 2025 - The Vote

Thanks @MattiThundrrr, much appreciated. I've seen the Romax in person and its a very clean and slick build. Now I must find and post on the "Bike of the Month Timetable and suggestions" thread with a request for an "Anything but a Brodie Month" ;)

What you bought, get or found, recently ( about everything ? )

1997 Marzocchi Bomber Z1 in excellent shape for $30 CAD. Seller included 3 sets of NOS springs. Couldn't be happier and I've always wanted to rebuild one of these

    Found my Animal watch!

This W002 was buried in a box for 25 years. I remember getting it for Christmas when I was 12. Not sure if I should get a new strap for it or what. Its a smaller size watch than I typically wear

Thanks. These Avid Arch Rivals are the first I've used and they feel much better than V-brakes with linkages

Wow, did this bike really exist?

This hardtail version has potential to be a neat pub bike with a full frame media blasting, some moto style handlebars with BMX stem and WTB ThickSlick tires. Might as well weld a cup holder to the frame while at it

1995/96 Norco Team Issue - "Grinch" build thread

All done and went for a 40km gravel ride yesterday. I do like the extra space and size with this 18.5" on gravel type riding but if I were doing technical climbs and needed to put my foot down on uneven terrain, I would probably bash my nards against the top tube. Pretty Canadian frame, eh...

1995/96 Norco Team Issue - "Grinch" build thread

Tag Team photo op. I wasn't planning to build up the Grinch until the end of the season but listening to my 90's Seattle grunge playlist put me in the mood to wrench. This is an easy one as I'm swapping over the parts over from my 17" 1998 Team Issue. I'm curious to see if the 18.5" green frame...
