That's the way they are, the ones in these photos are the levers on my 93 Explosif which is all standard spec,i think the black levers had white writing. I'd love to find a set of the champagne gold levers they did (last photo) but they're proving to be impossible to find so i'm going to spray...

And i think i'll do more spraying and give the brake levers a overhaul, i think i'm getting the ocd again lol

Time to do some spraying, starting with the chainrings which i'll do in black. And the wheels, you can't beat a set of Shimano 16 spokes i think they'll set the bike off perfectly 😊

Headset sorted, now i just need the brake levers.

Check to see if the seatpost and stem aren't stuck because that will hurt it's value if they are,stems tend to be easy to free up but seatposts can be a whole bigger problem

Yeah that's a 92 Kilauea and really rare because it's in black, first one i've seen, if they ever pop up for sale they're normally in the blue/purple like my old one. Still looks like it's got most of the Deore DX kit and the Dia Compe 986 cantilevers,size wise it does look like a 20 inch...
