    2015 Austro-Daimler TT Carbon Limited.

So when is the first TT, Mike? Do make sure you put a bunch of miles in on the bike before going for it. These TT bikes handle VERY differently to regular road bikes. Definitely make sure you do a windy ride and its a good idea to get a front wheel that hasn't got such a deep rim as a reserve.

    Today's Ride

Ooh....some TT action ;) Visiting road courses always ups my respect for the racers. You kind of get the idea of what it is like on telly but when you see it for real it is a different thing all together. So narrow, bumpy, and nowhere to go if it goes wrong. I always watched the World of Sport...

Any idea what this is? - 1920s Radior

How about making one. Something like a rigging screw from a chandlers maybe and make/adapt something to attach to the nose and top tube?

Imlach's Sweaty Hippie Funk Collection, adventure bikes, rusty rats, cruisers and other alt bastardisations of bicyclery

If i was Puerto Rican and lived in LA i would so get one of these hot rod rat bikes. Being as white as a sheet and looking like a typical english dad i would just look a tw@t riding round Dorset saying "Poco Loco, homs" on one. If i still had my workshop i would deffo build one though 😀

Any idea what this is? - 1920s Radior

You might need a support between the nose of the saddle and the top tube . Looks like this Dont know what the proper name is or where to get them.

    Frame identification

That serial number has definitely been messed with. Combination of dremel and center punch.

    Steerers

The threaded section is a smaller diameter than non threaded. You can use an ahead stem on a threaded fork if you use an adapter that replaces the quill stem that would normally be used.

    Wanted Diacompe dummies

Dummy hoods are for fixies or tandem stokers. Imlach probably has other ideas for them, butt that is just the way he rolls.

    Bar width

Latest update and clarification from the idiots as it was all a bit typically vague https://www.uci.org/pressrelease/uci-statement-on-its-recent-decisions-regarding-changes-to-equipment/39bHGV3T3d3sNHKNe2Rvbx The gear rule is also unscientific as it doesnt account for tyre widths(heights)...

    To Suspension Fork or Not

I noted that recently on a modern gravel thing. The rear had a lovely chainstay to BB arrangement allowing a decent size tyre and the option to go large on a single ring, but was specced with a carbon fork that was really limiting tyre width if you didnt want to saw through the legs with mud and...

Is there a good resource to learn the hierarchy of 90s suspension forks?

I think you would have to do a deep dive into each manufacturer and draw up your own with product timelines. Sounds like fun....not! 😆 You will probably be looking for something with about 50-60mm so XC500 or an early Sid or something with a max of 80mm , but with alot of sag. I am no expert in...
