Took long enough along with much more advanced Tech than in Alf’s day! Just shows you how good Alf really was & he himself said he was on for a 47min ride when he called pulled over by the cops…..on the famous Swanscombe Cutting course… It does kinda make you wonder what Alf would have done in...

Personally they felt smoother in a big gear where you just grind away at a steady cadence. I managed to go sub 20 on these back in 1987 on a private 10 mile course up near Aberdeen

You can but you’ll need to watch the temperature for recrystalization purposes but it will add strength to the material & get that nice rainbow type finish..

I do like the Chromovelato versions that my frame has from where came from as it’s truly wonderfully done.
