    Classic mini project

My brother has always been a mini man . His first was a cooper s ,twin tanks etc. It was shit of a shovel quick..he had another some 38 years ago on he did a total rebuild. Right down to the bare shell. He has owned the modern version as well so he will love it when I show him this...

I reckon the price would exceed the quoted price of the shelf, stock size .. Once you start going made the measure route things get expensive. My Vincitore was built the my requirements following a visit to the shop in 1990 . I would love another but cannot really justify it .

Excellent news , the price rise since I had mine built in 1991 at £680 approx is interesting. £2,4590 now . I will have a look at the specifications and see what's been updated.

That title belongs to Jeff Bowler. He has more knowledge of the company than anyone I know . They have apparently stopped producing the flag ship model the Vincitore . A lot of hand filing to make to beautiful lugs .I have retired mine as I have worn it out . I wonder it the lugs could be...

I have owned a Mercian in one way or another since I started cycling. Purchased my last one about 20 years ago . Since then i have used Spa cycles for frames purely on the grounds of value for money.

    Bakewell cycle jumble

I did not buy a single thing ,unless you count the sausage cob from the cafe . Sold quite a lot of items . More still to go. Enough for another jumble at least. Definitely a buyers market . Not that many buyer through to doors . I always price it to sell leaving room for haggling.

    1931 Raleigh Record

As for components the jumble had tables full of vintage parts. Again little was moving. As I said above it's a buyers market. On line market places give you a bigger audience. Research what prices items of previously sold for . This forum is a good shop window for your wares .

    1931 Raleigh Record

Lovely bicycle . The market for vintage bicycles is very depressed at the moment . Generations have moved on and the number of people buying such machines is very limited. I attended a cycle jumble today and there was not a lot of punters though the door . Pre the pandemic bicycles like this...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

A lot of the modern components look like something you would make from a meccano set as far as I am concerned. The aesthetics seem to of gone by the wayside . I wonder how much the size of modern cassettes is effecting design. Who really needs anything above ten speed.
