    Spotted on the street

2007 called and asked for its 'hot new fixie' look back. Astounding amount of people seemingly fine to leave their Brooks open to the elements and not secured in some way. The junkies round here would have that in a heartbeat.

    Reynolds 531 decal information required!

The rot is setting in from 1989. The dropped the gold for yellow and thats always going to make you look like a cheapo, demeaning the product along the way. And then theres the woeful 631/853 logos. ...which look like beer mats. The whole tone of this logo is retrogressive, invoking the past...

    Reynolds 531 decal information required!

https://www.reynoldstechnology.biz/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/decal_history.pdf Its just shown as '1995 onwards'. 531 was giving way to 631 and what with the uptick in alu framed bikes late 90s these stickers are less populous. I dont think they would be restricted to certain marques, more that...

    Eroica tyres

I have run MA40s with 32s. They're 13.5 mm internal width and the official Mavic answer for the US ambulance chasers is 28mm tyres max. Had zero probs with 32s (Maxxis Refuse) and run them at 62/65 psi (90KG rider).

    Curious workshop ….

There were no designers though. It was an extensible public computer network built on a matured academic network that was itself built on a military experiment. Do you meanTim Berners-Lee? I dont think he had a vision beyond making access easier for non brainiacs initially. I was exposed to the...

    Curious workshop ….

I hate all the b0ll0ck5 around AI. I mean yes, there is a profound leap in computing power taking place - which potentailly has loads of benefits. What is it being used for though? Generating trailers for 1950s versions of Star Wars, producing stupid pics like the one above, making it harder for...

Help me choose the right brakes for my Dawes Galaxy.

Back of the pad/holder hitting the fork isn't the end of the world as long as there is clearance enough to the rim.

    Fixed cup removal (with pics)

I've had success using this method before on a French threaded fixed cup- must have got lucky as I only used an M12 bolt and a stack of washers and some scrap 3mm steel on the outside face of the cup. I did also heat the outside of the cup then lay it flat before applying wax (birthday cake...
