UK/ European made off the peg Steel hardtails

I'd make sure to chose a frame built for 650s I'm not happy with this "Oh yes our frame takes any wheel size..." It's based around a large 650 tyre being the same O.D. as a narrow 700 But you should change frame tube profiles and geometry angles to suit the expected tyre size, and the frame...

Seized screw in GT 2x4 forks, advice requested.

Don't forget, the Forks are usable without the adjusting screw shank being removed. It's pretty normal on a vintage race frame to just tidy it up and ride on.

But more than the fork is worth...😉

Seized screw in GT 2x4 forks, advice requested.

If there's a first time for drilling a screw out, you really don't want it to be a hardened m3 screw stuck 10mm in a 30 year old fork dropout. You want a nice soft m5 with 4 turns of thread stuck in a cheap frame. ... and even that will tell you you don't want to do it again!

Chris Boardman TRISpoke Carbon Fibre Rim

    Sadly a 650 has about 1% the desirability of a 700 - so this affects value 😪

First Generation Fisher CR-7 on eBay in USA.......NICE!

"Fisher" branding became "Gary Fisher" due to entry into the European market and a lawsuit from fisher ski equipment in 91. Sold to taiwanese Anlen Company same year, acquired by trek 92 iirc

Seized screw in GT 2x4 forks, advice requested.

The screw is usually hardened m3. Often there's a much as 10mm length in the dropout. Let us know if you manage to drill it out.

Seized screw in GT 2x4 forks, advice requested.

These thin screws with a long insertion can be impossible to remove without something costly like spark erosion. You don't need them anyway - they are just for rapid alignment in a racing wheel- swap situation. The wheel is actually held in place by the qr, and can be aligned by eye. You...

2008 Scott Scale Limited - a bona fide superbike from back then

Looks like there's plenty of material on the hub flanges. I think you should strip and clean them and then refinish them custom, maybe even anodised?

    Retrobike Touring.

Great ride👍 We did similar but visiting the coastal defences, d-day beaches and battle of Normandy locations. The stuck in my memory a lot more than the brief flash of famous riders when we saw the tour👌 That and the distant helicopters, filming the riders coming towards us. Bizarrely we shared...

    Wich tyres ?

If you push it, you won't know until you've fitted the tyre and take a look. Flex in the frame and wheel can cause rub if its too tight, and things get stuck between the tyre and frame. You could buy a single 45 - one end will be tighter than the other - try it out both ends, and then get the...

    Wich tyres ?

You can almost certainly go up 2 sizes, if your wheels are true. 40/42 (Although you didn't picture the Chainstay Bridge- there's often a pinch point there to allow narrow q factor and triple chainset) You can probably just measure the gap between the stays/forks at the tyre bulge. But...

Numb Hands. Grip and Glove Recommendations Please

Numb hands can be intractable. Padded gloves is no1, softer grips, shock absorbing pads. Lbs should have something. - if it's shock or vibration as the cause. Changing the bar position might be necessary, if it's pressure on the joints - taking some or all pressure off the wrists...
