    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

@hamster traded me some nice Gran Sport pedals for this as the Milremo pair that came on the bike were flaking and not really recoverable. I stripped them down and gave them an ultrasonic clean to get the grime off and then a light sand of any road rash spots followed by a gentle polish...

Concorde restoration - on a budget

    Looks lovely!

    Nostalgia Galore!

I really like this channel, John gives an amazing insight into the US vintage/collectors scene. He also interviews some incredible framebuilders and significant designers and riders. Lots of beautiful bikes showcased as well of course!

    Spotted on the street

I cycle to work along part of the Oxford towpath and often see some interesting bikes belonging to the narrowboats and houseboats moored there. They change through the year as people move about so theres always something new. This Columbia was clearly a budget machine but the yellow looked good...

    Sakae Royale

My Viscount is being graced with these rather nice cranks. The SL/factory drillium version of the Apex. The Laprade post is lovely too.

Recommend me some metal black gear cable ferrules

Jagwire and SRAM both offer good quality alu ferrules in black (and other colours). They do have laser engraved logos so maybe not what you want for a vintage build.

    A nice bit of sculpture.....

A piece of cycling history for sure. I would love one in my collection. :) Interesting forward set seatpost, I know these were quite popular in the triathlon scene so maybe a tri style positioning mod.

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Got an 119mm M-Wave threadless BB for under £4 from Amazon! Crazy cheap and it looks perfect. Because I'm a masochistic lunatic I decided it was a good idea to refurbish the existing freewheel rather than just buy a new one for a tenner 😁 After removing 45 years of encrusted filth and...

    Spotted on the street

Two from the Thursday supermarket trip Raleigh Arena in a nice shade of blue, same guards I am putting on my Viscount too! Sad Condor with some 'neglect bingo' for you to play...

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

There are loads of different types of Apex which is half the trouble. I found this; So 119mm might be the one. I think I will order one and offer it up to see.

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

I _think_ I will need a longer spindle than that, just researching a swamp of conflicting info on SR Apex cranks to see if I'm right. I also have a worn out Mavic unit I can hopefully use as a test when i get home. Will let you know, many thanks!

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

I'm back making progress on this after the summer holiday/TT bike hiatus - It's now in the stand and I'm busy hanging parts on it. First I bought a pleasingly shaped SR bar off ebay to replace the narrow, badly scored non-branded one the bike came with. The shorties sit well I think. 600...

    2003 Cervélo P3

So with a couple of hundred kms on this bike in the setup above, I played around with the saddle height and fore/aft position. I changed the old ITM Adamo for a slightly newer ITM Attack. I liked the split nose design for comfort in the aero position, but found the Adamo nose 'arms' a bit wide...

What Reynolds tubing is it? ALL of them.

It's a classic. A great frame for someone too. See my build of an Audax here: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/thorn-audax-mk1-refurb.411628/ Much discussion of the sticker and tubing a couple of pages in too!

Sorted Quill pedals and toe clips

Hi all, after a pair of decent quill pedals to complete my Viscount build. MKS Sylvan, SR SP-100s, anything along those lines. Ideally with L toeclips with decent chrome. Thanks! 🙏

    2003 Cervélo P3

I would love a Prodigy! They are very interesting frames, USA made I think. The Super was one of the very last steel frames in the peloton I think? The original P2 that started the ball rolling for them around 1997 is also a fantastic looking machine. The fully profiled seattube/mast looks...
