    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

The braking is pretty reasonable, new pads are obviously fitted (although I recall they are pretty inexpensive Clarks). Cables are new with slick stainless inners so minimal resistance which helps. Not the snappiest brakes I have in my collection of bikes but capable enough stoppers for any...

    Viscount Aerospace Sport (London)

Having spent a good portion of my tinkering time since the new year on my Viscount Grand Sport I can safely say this is the 'lightweight' fillet brazed Aerospace frameset that Viscount dressed up with various levels of kit to create different models in their Aerospace range (they did make many...

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

The huge bit of bolt sticking out of the binder clamp was bothering me so I took it out and cut 8mm off... Before After 👍 Bottle cage clamps, I made these thin rubber bits to stop them shifting/chewing up the paint. Cage on. Now all parts are finally done I just need to check the...

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Glad you appreciate it! I was tempted to go for a minty metallic green but very happy with the cream. It really makes me think of 70s cars and it creates a nice ground for the red details and leather colours.

The last road bike you'll ever buy ..

The bikes you mention are all in real a sweet spot for almost all the good things modern bikes have to offer without headset cable routing nonsense, press fit BBs everywhere etc. You just miss out on disc brakes and the option to fit wider tyres for more comfort. Here is my much upgraded...

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Its been a slow burner for sure.😁 A problem to be overcome with almost every component, but somehow that makes a project like this all the more rewarding. I'll do a proper beauty photoshoot when I've sorted the last few niggles. 🤘

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Bar tape is done 😁 Sneak peek of the almost finished article. Just need the bottlecage, a last gearing fettle and I need to swap in some matched inner tubes.

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

First test ride today; the clamp for the seatpost slipped a bit and needed cranking down really tight. I need do some tweaks to get the rear shifting better; the gap between the top pulley and the sprocket is pretty large and seems to make for slow shifts. In general it rides well and is...

Wanted ITM K Sword/wing type bar and 16 degree stem

Hey folks. I am looking for a suitable exotic bar for my Look project, ideally an ITM K Sword or another of their shaped designs from the 2000s-2010s. Also a 16 degree (or close to) ahead stem.

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Edging ever closer. Brakes are cabled up. Bit of a wait while I hunted down the correct quick release hanger for the rear brake but I found one eventually. The chrome is just about hanging in there and it looks alright after a rub down.

Unknown French/Franco-Italian fillet brazed frameset, 58cm

I was pretty tempted to buy this so decided to research a bit. I think it is highly likely to be a Geliano frame, or at least related to Francis Quillon's output in some way. There are lots of details that match up to various documented frames; Scroll down to the bottom here...

    Spotted on the street

Waitrose delivers once again At least this Vetta didn't have the hanger sawn off on the way to singlespeed life. Much of the other detail is the usual horror show; stem wedge barely hiding under that top nut, horrendous tape, saddle smashed all the way back. The cherry on the cake was spotting...

Nice looking frame. Rear dropouts look very 90s too.

    Viscount Aerospace.. but which one?

Pedals are back together with some new Christophe straps to tie into the red on the frame logos. Need to find a matching Campag dustcap for the nds at some point, and probably some L clips instead of these M.
