Thanks 👍 yeah it's really hard choosing colours etc. I agree. It's a very steady thing like.

Thanks 👍 to be honest I've not properly ever measured the bike. I dropped the bars forward so they are now level with the angle of the stem and it's actually proved better on my wrists for some reason. I think it's because I lowered the seat so I wasn't leaning into the bars as much but it's all...

Just thinking 🤔 brown cable, black, green or silver maybe. I'll be changing it as it suited the older style but now I'm thinking green 🍏

It's a bit old primary school toilet roll with the pink and brown I get it. I'll leave it for now. 😂

Yeah - I've had the bars in all sorts of positions to be fair. I have them up some days down others when I'm trying to impress 😂 in all honesty I could ride a 60cm miles better after trying a friend's so I'm on the lookout for a bigger frame. 👍

Mavic CPX 12 700c rims question.

Thanks folks. The Vittoria Rando tyres look nice actually. I'll only be using this on mostly tarmac and a few tracks which are fairly flat I'll use inner tubes aswell. I've never stepped over to the tubeless dark side yet. I don't need to really. Good stuff. Will try share some pics of my build...

Mavic CPX 12 700c rims question.

Hello - I've a pair of Mavic CPX 12 700 rims. The original tyres that are on them are from a 1998 spec and are 700x25 but I wanted to get a pair of Panaracer 700x30 GravelKings - I don't think the frame will allow much wider tyres at the rear but will these Mavic rims be ok to run 700x30 just to...

Thanks for this folks. As an update I actually got in touch with the guy I bought this from originally and ended up having a bit more talk and he did the same with the guy he acquired it from. Turns out it was a Coventry Eagle as the original dark red colour seemed to match. So I decaled it up...

    1984 Saracen ATB?

I bought a copy of this book when I acquired my Saracen from @Tootyred on this here forum. The red one I acquired wasn't like the black ones used to take up Kilimanjaro but yours has some similarities. The wishbone brake hanger looks similar to the ones in the book. These are lovely bikes to...

    Buckled rubber issues

Thanks for all your advice folks. I've tried and got the tyres to an ok spin but I do think they are just not right. For how much I enjoy riding I think I'll look at a new pair. Anyone rate the Panaracer GravelKing in 26x210 size - it's kind of how I'd use a tyre

    Buckled rubber issues

Thanks folks - I'll have a closer look at how they are seated and try again I reckon. I'll deflate and check and inflate - they do seem to be getting better as I ride but feels frustrating feeling the non circular effect in both wheels as you freewheel. I'll get my lube out then 😃🤔

    Buckled rubber issues

I've had two sets of brand new tyres lately where the actual rubber seems to have a fault in the pattern which makes you think the wheel is buckled but it's the actual tyre tread seems like to have a dodgy pattern in it. I thought it would ride out after the tyres had been on a bit but it...

Wanted 26 x 1-3/8 rim for Sturmey Archer hub Front

Thanks. I did wonder if there was a formula for setting up a 32 spoke hub on a 36 rim but leaving the right gaps in the right places. I'll see if there is anything at my local recycling bike place this week aswell - thanks.
