Do you think they actually helped physically; or if you had better performances when using them might it have been due to a psychological thing? Any cracking?

I cannot believe someone is using those heavy PMP cranks on a TT bike (or on any bike for the matter). Those things never made any sense to me (although I understand the science involved), but they do look interesting if nothing else. Did they ever suffer from cracking/breaking at the bend?

I have a couple of those Nishiki bikes. They were marketed in the US so available "locally" in the western US (originally American Eagle, then Nishiki; by West Coast Bikes). That frame '86 ('87 model year) made by Kawamura. I do have a Hopmans lo-pro (nos frame not built yet) stored away so...

Interesting "ice" adaptation. Probably not too much fun in cross winds. We took old tires and screwed sheet metal screws through from the inside; worked okay except cornering.

I was told by another that this is a Selcof post, but I cannot figure that one out, and no justification was provided. It did come off an Italian bike, but aside from that and the paint work I cannot claim it to be of Italian origin without a high degree of uncertainty.

@juvela just for reference purposes here is the ANPI post logo design that I found. They may have a later version of the logo, but I did not find any other in a quick glance. Logo seems to be '70s maybe early '80s based on post design (I know nothing if the company, but Camp. 3 bolt version...

@Canuk I do not personally own any Zunow bikes, but would like to if not for cost. My only "crazy" Japanese frame that I ride regularly is a rather pedestrian looking Nishiki compared to others shown here.
