The titanium weld and detail appreciation thread.

Here are a few from my moots. Hoping they don't offend as they are from a road bike.

Show us a gratuitous full frontal!

My restomod dekerf with tuning fork and custom brodie stem. Sorry about the mmess of my basement, moved and we are still trying to organize things.

Show us a gratuitous full frontal!

I'll play along. Will grab a shot of my dekerf in the next few days. Should there be a "shake your booty" thread showing rear ends bikes?

    1990 Brodie Climbmax

It sat in the back of a pick up truck for a few hours in a freezing rain storm.

    1990 Brodie Climbmax

I found this picture and it shows the original colour of the bike after a drive home from a winter race.

    Show us your Brodie

Here is a set of brodie love handles, and yes I am / was a redneck and used a shot gun shell as an end cap.

    1990 Brodie Climbmax

It is a bike in constant evolution. It had a syncros stem on it for the better part of 25 years until Paul did a run 8 or so years ago. Current build (Nov 2025) is as follows: Headset: Chris King threaded Stem: paul Brodie fillet brazed circa 2018 Handlebar: Bontrager titec 118 Grips: ODI...

I debated re entering the dekerf, but figured the BoTM needed a brodie. Here is the triple threat.

Bike of The Month November 2025 "Amnesty Special" - now taking entries

I've added some more pictures, hopefully of a better quality.

    1990 Brodie Climbmax

As requested, a few more pics..... Yes, I know the QR is on the rear drive side, it is for the kid and picnic hauling trailer. The Blackspire 420 pedals make running errands and hopping on and off to help kids easier than clipless. The mismatched tires are what I had lying around. I am...

Bike of The Month November 2025 "Amnesty Special" - now taking entries

OOPS should have had my 5 year old do the counting. Good luck to the other "losers".

Bike of The Month November 2025 "Amnesty Special" - now taking entries

Sneaking in as bike 19 I'll throw my less than impressive, rider original owner, quality brodie into the fray. From the repaint month https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/bike-of-the-month-february-2023-repaints-special.456665/#post-3361825 Build and evolution of the bike thread...

Bike of The Month November 2025 "Amnesty Special" - now taking entries

Mine has, at least once. It is a rider and not a show bike though.

Bike of The Month November 2025 "Amnesty Special" - now taking entries

There has to be a brodie that qualifies, other than mine.....

For Sale 1996 Fat Chance Buckshaver xxs

Even though I am in Canada, I would have been making an offer, except I just got my daughter tiny dekerf.

Parts That Weigh a Ton, But You Still Love 'em

This stem is definitely heavier than the syncros it replaced, but oh so nice - custom Paul Brodie 1 1/8 ahead stem with a 31.8 bar.

    All things Canadian.....

For Toronto, check out boneshaker on instagram, he may have a ride when you are in town. Nice guy and may be able to hook you up with a bike. My suggestions will be more downtown west side as that is where I live. For bike shops, not vintage, but if you like road bikes check out blacksmith...

I can trace and dimension mine if you want to try and recreate it.

BoTM Bike of The Month April 2025 - The Vote

Sounds like there is a need for a "super special" all brodie month, that is open to all brodies even if they have been entered before in other categories.
