    New build: Scapin TR-X 1997

Update: I fitted my favourite panaracer tyres and went for a proper ride today. This bike is absolutely amazing. The frame flexes on rough terrain and bends and it feels like I have rear suspensions. Also, this fork is great, same level as my bomber on my other scapin but somehow it cancels the...

    New build: Scapin TR-X 1997

Ok, I fitted a different middle cog and the problem has totally disappeared. Perfect smooth shifting and zero noise. I used a Truvativ I had in my stash of parts, I might wear this out a bit, then change all chainrings. The problem chainring is well worn, very noticeable once unfitted.

    New build: Scapin TR-X 1997

Gone for a test ride this morning and the riding position makes you want to go fast! Got to change those tyres as they're too slippery off road. Now, for the only problem I found: Shifting is extremely precise, all gears change quickly and securely, however, when on middle cog and putting...

Ok guys, I finished building this Scapin and here are some pictures. I really like the look of this bike! Please forgive the hazy pictures, I should've cleaned the lens before shooting 🙄

Help with this Rock Shox please

Ok, I found the "trick myself. If you carefully turn the adjuster all the way clockwise with flat pliers, it doesn't go down anymore, so the knob can be secured properly without dismantling anything. I hope this helps someone.

Help with this Rock Shox please

Ah, ok. If I bounce it it comes out, but when I try to put that dial back it goes back in. Can I use clamps to keep the fork compressed? Initially I fitted both dials before closing the top cap because it's very tight.

Help with this Rock Shox please

Hi everyone, small glitch with this fork: one of the top caps has popped off and when I went to reposition it, the hexagonal pin that hols it pushes down. Is there a trick to fit this cap without removing anything from the fork? Thanks
