Correct. Z1, Z2 and other forks from the 1997+ have only rebound cartridges. Z1 has 2, Z2 has only 1. Marzocchi startet compression cartridges with 2000 - afaik. That where the ones with the black inner needle screw (center one). I'll correct my post.

It is not about 'compression damping', this are 2 different tasks. The compression force is taken by the spring. Some damping will be taken by the open oil bath, but there is no adjustable control like in later forks having both for compression and rebound. The Z2 has also that 20mm rebounds...

I did the suitable pistons (POM) for the shafts with higher wall thickness. Shafts are available in 5 sizes : 57,66 mm 66,68 mm 72,90 mm 85,73 mm 107,80 mm

As I wrote, this are Fox Alps 4/5 (r) shaft replaement parts. Are you talking about that black Risse replacement shaft for Fox Alps or some other Risse shock?

Yes, there where shims on the market 1 1/8" -> 1 1/4". I think mine are out, sorry. I can help out with a Bombers crown.

I have different options, do you have a Z1 crown with clamping the steerer? 208mm is the usable length ot + crown height (about 25mm)?

One can repress the steerer. For this crown it is very easy. Check your crown, it might have cracks in the bottom sides and on the left/right side clamps. Alternative I have created a new crown, milled out of a block Alu 7075 T6 whic is much more stronger than the original casted ones. I have...

Simple put another Schrader valve in with a wider base. There are 1000's of such Schrader valves out there as it is a 0,01€ part in automotive, air pressure and many other industries.
