I had a quick Sunday evening search on ebay for "road bikes/spares repair" and found this interesting looking bike with 30 seconds to go... Total impulse buy and it's mine!

Does anyone know anything about vic humphreys? I just liked it and figured it might be fun to take a look.. Maybe sell the campagnolo bits and see if I like the frame?

Not sure if I can afford to do a £250 argos restoration, but I reckon powdercoat would be a mistake with those lugs..

Any comments much appreciated, I'm not sure what to do with this one..

That takes me back a bit.........to the days of jobbing builders making frames for shops with their name on them with Nervex lugs :)

Looks a bit rusty to polish off :) Modern powder coating done well can be very thin and show off the lugs an deal with the rust, a nice pale metallic blue or turquoise would look nice :D

That would be worth the price for the Campagnolo bits alone particularly the Record, "cable stop" front mech. That is assuming the cage is ok under that rust...
