1962 Vic Humphrey road bike...

I had a quick Sunday evening search on ebay for "road bikes/spares repair" and found this interesting looking bike with 30 seconds to go... Total impulse buy and it's mine!

Does anyone know anything about vic humphreys? I just liked it and figured it might be fun to take a look.. Maybe sell the campagnolo bits and see if I like the frame?

Not sure if I can afford to do a £250 argos restoration, but I reckon powdercoat would be a mistake with those lugs..

Any comments much appreciated, I'm not sure what to do with this one..

That takes me back a bit.........to the days of jobbing builders making frames for shops with their name on them with Nervex lugs

Looks a bit rusty to polish off Modern powder coating done well can be very thin and show off the lugs an deal with the rust, a nice pale metallic blue or turquoise would look nice

That would be worth the price for the Campagnolo bits alone particularly the Record, "cable stop" front mech. That is assuming the cage is ok under that rust...
