Is it wrong that I like the fact they haven't polished it up within an inch of it's life (or even cleaned it)?

the 81 is special, for a stumpy, since it doesn't have the lugs; all tig welded, and probably ugly welds at that. After the initial year, they were all lugged, till much later when they went back to be tig'd. Plus it has some great vintage parts on it; not bad for $500.
