In a fit of enthusiasm I recently decided that I wanted to try out a road bike as an addition to my Hybrid and MTB and this 21" frame Raleigh Clubman came up for sale on ebay locally so I bought it.

Unfortunately I found after a few rides that I cannot get on with drop bars due to an old whiplash injury so am reluctantly selling it. I am sad to see it go, but know I will not ride it so it would be a waste of a good bike, not to mention the money it cost me.

The bike was in pretty good condition when I bought it and looks as if it hasn't done many miles - the teeth on the chainset and freewheel have virtually no wear on them and the chain is unstretched.  There are some minor scratches on the frame, and a few very small surface rust marks. but less than you would expect on a 30 year old bike, but nothing serious and no dents or damage.

Since buying the bike it has had a full service, including cleaning, greasing and adjusting hubs and BB, and changing the headset as the old one had pitting to the chrome. Brakes and gears have been serviced and I have fitted new padded bar tape and new brake cables. It also had brand new 27 x 1 1/4 tyres on it when I bought it.

Before putting it on ebay I thought I'd try it here first. I am looking for what I paid - £93 - and am putting the cost of bits I bought for it and time spent on it down to experience.

Collection only from Cardiff, or I will deliver for free up to 15 miles.

If not sold it will be on ebay from Sunday.

Re:

Or if anyone is prepared to collect/box/send or you never know someone may be travelling down this way - a long shot though !

If this bike hasn't already sold to widowmaker. I will take it at the asking price, I can either collect on the 21st August or my neighbour does deliveries every Thursday in South Wales, I could ask him to collect next week if that's possible.
