1990s Bianchis - any good?

Hello,

Just wondering if the 1990s Bianchi MTBs are considered to be any good.
Have seen a Bianchi Cougar that might make a handy donor bike, unless
it's worth doing up and riding in its own right...(this is exactly how my road bike collection got out of hand).

well, i like mine, a '91/'92 thomisus. heavy as a train but rides nicely enough.

the lower end models are worth upgrading in the chainset, bars and saddle areas. the one to have is the 1995/96 martini racing bike. looks ace and has decent forks and XT running gear.

the early 90's are a crude build but if you like them them, that's ok

yes, it's true, it weights very many, quite a few and a lot (+ a bunch)... but looks nice too.
a piece of a retro, '93 i think.

Thanks for replies, the model near me was not as interesting as those
Theridions (sp?) but I've seen a couple of them for sale too. Maybe
a future project, but I've got quite a bit to be getting on with for now
