I am looking to run my 8 Speed M950 Rear Mech with a 9 Speed Block and Chain, which I know should work, being a tart also I want to put some bling carbon jockey wheels onto the mech (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/carbon-pulleys-jockey-wheels-Shimano-black-zen-/190386882042?), however they only seem to be available in 11 Tooth (rather than then 10 Teeth used by M950)

Has anyone tried using 11 Teeth to replace 10 Teeth Jockeys before? Did it cause any issues/look alright? Any pics?

I replaced some worn out ones in my XT 735 short cage not long ago with modern 11t XT ones. (mainly as i couldn't find some 10 t ones in the garage!)

No issues and looks fine.

AFAIK the 11 tooth was to ensure longer wear on the jockey wheels as the teeth alternate what part of the chain link they pick up on each rotation as opposed to picking up the same part of the link each time for an even number of teeth.
