Anybody know anything about Raleigh Tangent?

Hi guys,

I was just browsing through some local marketplaces when I came across a good-looking retro mtb. It's advertised as a Raleigh Tangent, but the owner doesn't know that much else about it. From what I've gathered it's one of the company's mid-spec bikes from about 1991-1992, but other that that I'm pretty clueless. So, now you get to play the historian

I'd love to get some more info on the bike's history and heritage, and possibly an estimate of how much it could be worth in good condition because I kinda fell in love with it when i laid my eyes on it. I sincerely hope it isn't too shit or too entry-level.

Hi Henri, according to Mombat the Tangent was the top spec bike from the 1991 Altimetric series, which sat below the Technium range. A bit of googling suggests that it was produced until 94 at least.

Looks nice regardless, I'd say if you're happy with the asking price then go for it

Ah, fantastic mate! I guess I wasn't so handy with Google after all The seller wants between £130 and £195 for it... I guess I'll strike in below 150£. Or am I just being stupid about it?
