I have a pair of XTR m900 hubs laced to Weinmann Bontrager rims.

Are they any good?

As I hear weinmann and Bontrager and think cheap and trek but that’s mainly because I’m of the era of when trek owned Bontrager.

Are they worth much or shall I strip the hubs out?

I'd say that any half decent rim built onto M900 hubs should be worth £150, subject to wear of course, and even better if OEM QRs are present.

Pics would help.
Are they the Bontrager BCX 1,2,3 type rims or something else?

Cheers for reply.

I’ll take some pics later.

Not sure on model but I’ll try to look later.

Condition wise they are very good. Hubs are smooth and rims low wear having come off a recently purchase barely used bike

The Bontrager BCX rims were good and were used on loads of bikes in various price ranges, including more expensive bikes. The fact they are laced to M900 hubs suggests a decent bike?

These came on my unicorn which is a the turquoise aqua Zaskar.

It was a mix of DX and XTR and barely ridden since new.

Bcx 1& 2 were front/rear specific and higher quality. Bcx 3 were lower end and fitted to loads of konas etc.

Blue or red label were slightly earlier and higher quality still.

I'd be interested if they were blue/red label.

Yeah they're good rims. I'd keep them together as a wheelset
