At lunch time today, I came across this...

I felt like stealing it just to rescue it from a life of torment and shame

Well at least its doing its job its supposed to be doing!
Despite the cranky MTB shocking, its being ridden.

If someone else had it it would be made into a flipping shelf queen and never ridden again.

I've seen that used to excuse all sorts of bicycle abuse (eg: the whole "fixie" fad) but really this is going too far!

All this fella has done is change the forks for christs sakes! Is that such a crime...lol

I know Ian. If there was a smiley for "tongue-in-cheek" I would have used it. I'm not foaming at the mouth or anything but it's also the luggage arrangement as well as the hideous forks.

I tell you what though if the frame survives a good few years of that sort of use it should put pay to the "carbon is fragile" threads!

Mark.

That bloke has the right idea, he's set up a bike that's the best way of getting around for him. The real muppets are those who spend £££ and then only ride recreationally. Bikes are transport, not sport equipment.

I wanna know how the fork is setup. Fairly stiff?

Should be good for wheelies anyroads  I'm afraid I can't agree with some of the posts above, that is a travesty/deathtrap.

So he can do what he wants with his bike but I can't ride mine how I choose. Cheers Bill

I'd have left a 'sell me your bike' note.

That's what's daft about this sort of build - this bloke could sell that frame
to someone who'd enjoy it for what it is, and use the money to buy an
old MTB frame of something that would be much better suited to what he
wants. Everyone's a winner.
