Dawes Wildcat Anyone else owned one?

My original MTB - Dawes Wildcat. I was looking at selling it but had no idea what its worth so just a friendly chat between this group about Retro bikes now. I bought this bike back when I was 15 - now just turned 40 - so that was quite a while back. it what a toss up between a mustang I think back then or this Dawes.

It treated me well and only issue it gave in its prime was a broken handlebar - snapped clean off. since then Replaced it and all works other than a slip of the crank when it is under load, not every time but I believe its is a simple fix something to do with the rear gears - underneath them.

I have just got a birthday pressie now of a Scott scale 70 - real nice bike, but the Dawes was my FIRSt, and we all know how that feels.

yes, I need to fix the slip I get under load when sometimes it like drops a cog or two. something under the rear gears maybe. was a great bike - do I keep it - do I sell it to someone who likes to restore it... unsure

Bright yellow with an Exage Trail groupset? I had one as a first MTB. Reynolds frame and forks went well enough but mine was HUGE.
