Retro Newbie
Hi folks, it my first post so big hello for all of you

I have a GT tempest frame 18 inch, but its a little to large for me as I am quite short . So I need new frame, I have found this one, what do you think of it ?

( BTW - I look for vbreaks frame)

RADON SUPERLIGHT KINESIS 16"
Will that frame be any good?

RADON SUPERLIGHT KINESIS 16"

I try to google "radon superlight kinesis frame" and got no results...

Kinesis used to make bikes for everyone (they probably still do). The emergence of their own brand bikes is (fairly) recent. So that's probably a Radon, made by Kinesis out of one of their own brand tubes (superlight).
Radon are still in existence as well.

Oh, kinesis frames are very very variable, as they manufacture to the customer/brand specification, rather than their own. But if it's using super light, I suspect it's a fairly decent frame. Kinesis also have a kinesium tube set, which builds up into a moderately light race frame, and I have seen Easton tubed kinesis bikes too, so they know what they are doing.

We have 4 kinesis brand kinesis bikes and have had two other frames made by them, all have been good. Considering what we paid for them. (I consider £89, and 4 years daily use before corrosion failure at the bottom bracket to be good vfm!)

if Radon, then what model?
who knows, they probably have the same frame in two or three different colours and half a dozen different build levels over several years. Could be anything from boutique xtr build to alivo build work horse.

I was told that there was LX equipment "graphite series".
What year this frame might be ? And if there is a place for fat tyre ( as we see on the picture) ,
would that mean that the frame is made for more difficult terrain cycling ?

I see Radon is German, so it should be good quality :xmas-big-grin:

btw. frame i am interested in has 2 small dents, is it a poblem ?

Just a dent. No glaring kinks in the tube. I don't see it failing any time soon. I'd be perfectly happy letting one of my friends ride it.

not following you? It's a mountain bike, they are all made for "difficult terrain" and almost all are made for "fat" tyres (26*2.25" give or take).

Just like the tempest you already have.

kinesis is Taiwanese, so I don't know where that leaves you.
